The Graham Norton Show is back in full swing with Series 26! For episode 1 Graham welcomed Oscar winner Dame Helen Mirren, promoting her TV drama about Catherine the Great. Comedian and actor Jack Whitehall, author and documentary-maker Simon Reeve, and RuPaul also joined the sofa-cast. The musical guest was Alphabeat. Let’s take a look at what the guests wore on the show.

Graham Norton

Graham kicked off the show wearing a fashionable single-breasted notched-lapel green two-piece suit. He paired the look with a bright ‘firework’ shirt in multicolours.

Dame Helen Mirren

Dame Helen Mirren is known for many films and TV shows such as Cal, The Cook, the Theif, His Wife & Her Lover, Teaching Mrs Tingle, Calendar Girls, Hitchcock, The Hundred-Foot Journey, Woman in Gold, Trumbo, The Leisure Seeker, Red, and Red 2 as well as the television shows Prime Suspect and most recently, Catherine the Great.

On the show, she wore a fitted, tailored black dress with an eyelet-and-lace-up design. She had her hair closely cropped and wore hoop earrings to complete the look.

Simon Reeve

Simon Reeve is known for his television shows Tropic of Cancer, Equator, and Tropic of Capricorn. He is also a New York Times’ best-selling author for his 1998 book The New Jackals: Ramzi Yousef, Osama bin Laden and the Future of Terrorism.

Simon wore a classic black three-button single-breasted suit with a white button-up and a black tie with embroidered oranges and foliage in the foreground. He wore black leather shoes and wool socks to finish off the look.

RuPaul

RuPaul is an American drag queen, actor, model, singer, and songwriter. He had a show on VH1 called The RuPaul Show and since 2009, he has hosted a reality competition series called RuPaul’s Drag Race. The show has won four Primetime Emmy Awards, each year from 2016 to 2019.

RuPaul wore a smart, slim-fit blue-purple suit with a tight black T-shirt underneath. The jacket had subtle notched lapels.

Jack Whitehall

Jack Whitehall is an English comedian, television presenter, writer, and actor. Jack has hosted the show before and we have written about it, but he is best known for his stand up comedy as well as playing JP in the television series Fresh Meat and Alfie Wickers in Bad Education. He also acted in a Netflix series about time with his father, Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father.

Jack also opted for a classic black suit with a jacket with pointed lapels. He made the look smart-casual with a black T-shirt underneath it instead of a button-down shirt. He wore black shoes and socks and his usual coiffed hair and trimmed beard.
