An impressive cast joined The Graham Norton Show this past Friday. Michael Caine and Sally Field promoted their new books – Sally Field’s called In Pieces. Chris Pine hit the couch to talk about his new film as did Rami Malek. French singer Héloïse Letissier, best known by her band name, Christine and the Queens, rounded out the show as musical guest. Let’s take a look at the best dressed of the Graham Norton show’s 19 October roundup.

Chris Pine

Promoting the new Netflix film Outlaw King, Chris Pine, who is known for his roles as Captain James Kirk in the remake of Star Trek from 2009, Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman, and Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods discussed the full-frontal nudity on his new film – and the attention on Twitter he received as a result.

Chris wore brown suede Christian Louboutin loafers – see the story below as to what Michael Caine thinks about wearing loafers – and tailored black trousers. He paired the tailored bottom half with a more casual long-sleeved deep caramel coloured jumper with buttons at the neck and a polo-like collar and perfectly coiffed, styled hair.

Michael Caine

The legendary Michael Caine came on the show to promote his forthcoming memoir, Blowing the Bloody Doors Off: And Other Lessons in Life. Caine gave an anecdote about the time he met John Wayne, having had his recent hit film Alfie when he was a young actor staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Caine was brought to Hollywood to film Gambit and had been left at the hotel for a week. One day he sat in the corner of the lobby, where he’d come to sit to see if he could spot any stars and in walks Wayne, wearing a cowboy hat. He asked his name and Caine replied and Wayne, recognising him from the film Alfie, proclaimed to him ‘You’re gonna be a star, kid.’ Watch the video to hear the further advice that Wayne gives.

Caine, who has appeared in over 125 films and is known for his distinctive accent, is most recognised for his films such as Zulu, Hannah and Her Sisters, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Educating Rita, and The Italian Job and more recently Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and Inception.

On the show, he wore a tailored two piece navy suit with notched lapels with a crisp light blue button-up shirt. He wore the neck of the shirt open. His shirt had French cuffs and the blazer had a several button detail at the cuff. He accessorised with his glasses and his hair was closely cropped and neatly styled.

Rami Malek

The man of the hour who plays Queen’s Freddie Mercury in the upcoming biopic called Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek talked about how, despite not being a method actor, he wore the prosthetic teeth he had made to play the front-man throughout filming. He caught a little flak from Sally Field who proclaimed that she is indeed a method actor and is tired of people putting method actors down.

Rami, known for his role as Elliot Alderson in the television series Mr. Robot, wore a dark burgundy two piece double-breasted suit, which he chose to wear unbuttoned, with notched lapels and an in-Vogue red and purple fabric stripe down his trousers. He wore a starched white button up shirt, buttoned all the way up and no tie. He wore brown leather shoes and accessorised with a watch. His hair was cropped on the sides and styled on top.
