Greetings 007.

Well Bond, you seem to have received our message promptly, although I do believe you encountered a spot of bother on your way back from Austria? Regardless, good to see you in one piece. England needs you 007. One of our British missile submarines has suddenly disappeared and we must locate its whereabouts immediately.

The Mission

Thanks to Intel from your old Cambridge friend, Sheikh Hosein, we know there are microfilm plans in Egypt which detail an advanced submarine tracking system. Max Kalba, nightclub owner and well-known name on the black market is in possession of them. He will expect a high price for these and there is competition from a Major Anya Amasova, a Soviet KGB agent. A Soviet missile submarine also disappeared in similar circumstances and understandably, locating the plans is the KGB’s mission too. You’ll be pleased to know we’ve consulted with head of KGB, General Gogol to form a truce. You and the Major must track down Karl Stromberg, scientist and powerful figure in the shipping world. Intel suggests he is linked to the disappearances. Travel to his base in Sardinia as Mr. and Mrs. Sterling acting as an interested marine biologist. A warning, Bond: Jaws (who has been on MI6’s records for a while) is working for him. Confirm that Stromberg owns the new vessel named ‘Liparus’, designed to capture the submarines. Reports suggest his intentions are to create a new ‘Atlantis’: Stromberg wants to start a nuclear war. It is important you stop him, 007.

Your mission: Work to find the microfilm before Jaws does. Locate the missing submarines and prevent Stromberg from utilising the nuclear missiles. We must prevent a nuclear war, 007. Sink his plans immediately.

Please continue reading for a brief of your mission wardrobe.

Mission Wardrobe

Sun, sea and sand are the key words for your mission wardrobe dress but not to worry, you are prepared:

1) Sports Jacket

Egypt is a warmer climate 007, so we’ve recommended a lightweight tan sports jacket in your beloved safari jacket style. Shoulder epaulettes, single vent, notch lapels, three flapped pockets (two of them patch) and sleeve belts are all included. The light blue shirt with the wide striped tie should satisfy your style.

2) Dinner Suit

It proves a compulsory addition on your missions, so here’s the classic black double-breasted dinner suit with flared leg. 3-button cuffs, wide peak lapels as custom with this style and a dress shirt with black studs to ensure a smart first impression upon meeting Max Kalba. Please note black is not the wisest of colours to wear under the heat of the Egyptian sun – its purpose is an evening suit.

3) ‘Mr. Sterling’

As ‘Mr. Sterling’, it feels appropriate you wear a two-button, single-breasted navy blazer featuring notch lapels and three slanted pockets, along with a blue and white striped shirt and an accompanying mid-blue wide tie. The ivory trousers really pull the nautical colour scheme attire together, a style representative of you 007.

4) Commander Bond

Commander Bond reporting for duty in this attire aboard the American’s U.S.S. Wayne submarine – the epaulettes shall indicate your rank. The dark navy jacket will feature small notch lapels, three brass buttons down the front and on the patch pockets also. With a navy roll neck underneath, those on-board will certainly look up to you.

Encounters

As always Bond, there’s new faces to meet on this mission, so we’ve ensured you feel prepared to encounter them:

Major Anya Amasova

Also known as Triple X and will be your partner in this mission, Bond. You may recognise her wearing a casual beige knee-length skirt suit including short notch lapels with extra stitching. She too will appear at Kabal’s club dressed for the evening events wearing a floor-length black slit gown with embellished spaghetti straps that cross over on the back.

Karl Stromberg

His base may appear new and extravagant, but his attire is fairly subdued. His usual choice of attire may be a burgundy or grey loose long-sleeved shirt with a tall collar and three-button placket with matching trousers. A cravat is his preferred accessory.

Jaws

You should recognise his unique smile, Bond (his bite is certainly sharp) but be aware of his long double-breasted light blue jacket finished with four gold buttons on the front, peak lapels and grey trousers. Chances are you may encounter him wearing a loose white shirt underneath a pair of grey braces and brown trousers.

Q-Branch

Now please pay attention, 007…must I reiterate the amount of times you’ve frequently let me down returning our gadgets in full?

I highly doubt Stromberg’s base would be located so close to his vessel, so a Wet Bike shall be awaiting your arrival onto the American submarine should you require it. A special package 007, we like to be ahead of the times at Q-Branch.

I think you’ll be very impressed with this new model from 007: a white Lotus Esprit S1 I’ve called “Wet Nellie”. With the ability to convert into an underwater submarine upon diving, the wheels transform into air tight covers for a smoother journey and well, there’s some special accessories included: a vertical missile launcher might present itself useful. Please take great care of this car 007. It may be possible Major Amasova will know how to control this vehicle car without damaging it.

Debrief

You have the details 007. You leave for Egypt tonight. It has been arranged for you and Major Amasova to cooperate with the captain of U.S.S. Wayne. Prepare to be captured by Stromberg as it will be the perfect opportunity to dissolve his plans from the inside. I sincerely hope nothing comes in between you and Major Anya Asamova; however Bond, I feel it is my duty to inform you the spy whose mission was to assassinate you in Austria, was the spy who loved her. As you two become close, she may discover this soon. Please see extra visuals below for this mission.

Stay safe and stay stylish.

Good luck 007.

M.
