Actor and producer Brad Pitt has been known for many roles in his 55 years, over 30 of which he’s been active on the acting scene. He has gone from heartthrob and sex symbol to serious actor over the years and linked to famous women and charitable causes. Here’s a select look at Brad Pitt’s fashion and film showcase.

The 1980s to the 1990s

It was in 1991’s Thelma & Louise that Pitt first attracted widespread attention. At the premiere, Pitt wasn’t as polished as in his later years yet he wore an oversized suit, stylish for the time, in khaki colour with a white button-up and a brown silk tie.

It was also around this time he was linked with actress Gwyneth Paltrow and they were seen together in 1991 at the premiere of Legends of the Fall and other films.

Pitt gained further attention for his good looks in A River Runs Through It in 1992, directed by Robert Redford.

His most popular breakthrough roles, however, occurred after these early roles with 1995’s Seven and 1997’s The Devil’s Own. During these years, Pitt experimented with his look, seeming half smart and half grunge. He always wore suit trousers and a button-up with varying jackets.

In 1999, he starred in Fight Club. These were his prime ‘Jennifer Aniston’ years and he was seen in various 90s outfits, often two-piece suits, alongside his then-wife.

The 2000s

In 2001, Ocean’s Eleven came out to wide success. In 2004, both Troy and Ocean’s Twelve premiered. Troy was the first film produced by the production company Pitt formed with then-wife Aniston. In 2005, Mr & Mrs Smith came out which helped cleave his marriage at the time and form his long-term partnership with Angelina Jolie, whom he later married.

In 2008, Burn After Reading came out along with The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Pitt paired with Tarantino in 2009 with Inglorious Basterds.

The 2010s

In more recent times, Pitt has focused more on producing, but he has starred in more current films such as Fury, World War Z, By The Sea and 2015’s The Big Short. He remains a prominent acting force, known for his talent and his looks.

2019

In recent times, Pitt is starring in Tarantino’s latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Pitt’s style has evolved over the years. He has always remained with the times and stylish and his 2000s looks with Angelina Jolie saw them looking like an Old Hollywood couple. Which of his looks was your favourite?
