Graham Norton’s February guest list is on fire! For his second show in February, Graham was joined by Patrick Stewart, promoting his film The Kid Who Would Be King and Ricky Gervais who came to chat about his new sitcom, the dark After Life. Also on the red sofa were Oscar nominated actress Regina King (nominated for her performance in If Beale Street Could Talk) and equality talented actor Chiwetel Ejiofor who discusses The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind which he directed and starred in. Jack Savoretti rounded out the night as musical guest performing his single ‘Candlelight.’

Chiwetel Ejiofor

Chiwetel Ejiofor is an English-Nigerian actor who was appointed an OBE in 2008. He is best known for his roles in Love Actually, Kinky Boots, 12 Years a Slave, Doctor Strange, and many others.

On the show, Ejiofor wore an all-black single breasted pointed lapel suit. The sleeves have a subtle three-button detail. Instead of going for a more traditional button-up he opted for a dressed-down black cotton t-shirt. He accessorised with a smart watch, cropped hair, and a full beard. He wore smart shiny black leather shoes to round out the look.

Here’s a clip that comes after Graham’s discussion of Ejiofor’s role in drag as Lola in Kinky Boots and you can catch his outfit. (There are no specific Ejiofor clips unfortunately.)

Ricky Gervais

English comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, and singer is known for his two The Office series as well as his show Extras. He is now known also for his roles in the Night at the Museum movies, The Invention of Lying, Stardust and others.

On the show, Gervais discusses the time he met David Bowie and how he invited him on his show.

Gervais wore tailored black trousers and a black V-neck cashmere jumper in black. He wore black trainers and black socks. Gervais shows that you can pair your tailored looks with more casual pieces for a complete look.

Patrick Stewart

Like Ejiofor, Patrick Stewart also received his OBE—but in 2001. Stewart began as a Shakespearean actor but is known to many for his roles in Star Trek and the X-Men series. His tell-tale rich voice brings many to the screen to watch his talents.

On the show, Patrick Stewart reveals some secrets about an upcoming revival Star Trek where he is re-inhabiting his role as Jean Luc Picard with a storyline nineteen years on.

Stewart was dressed to the nines. He wore a tartan suit in a subtle brown and burgundy colour palette. Around his neck, Stewart wore a rich dark caramel coloured tie and a burgundy pocket square with frayed edges.

On his crisp white shirt he opted for traditional cuffs—instead of French cuffs. His single breasted jacket had pointed lapels to add extra interest. In dressing, he considered every detail. He has a matching brown belt with brass-toned hardware and brown leather shoes in a darker tone. His socks were fun and playful with a pattern—an unexpected twist.
