Since we’ve done a roundup of November, we didn’t want you to miss out on the fabulous suits that have happened on the show this December. We have been busy giving you lots of content over the last couple of months to do with the latest styles in suiting choices and fabrics—and everything down to what to wear in which season to what to wear as you walk down the aisle. Here’s our Graham Norton Show December roundup.

Ben Whishaw and Emily Mortimer

Ben Whishaw is one of those actors who has been in many films—sometimes as a peripheral character—but always leaves an impression. He came on the show to promote his upcoming film, Mary Poppins Returns, along with Emily Blunt. He has been in many films from Cloud Atlas to Paddington to Skyfall. He always looks like an elegant English gentleman; however, his Graham Norton Show look is put together yet dishevelled and casual.

Whishaw wears a partial three-piece tuxedo suit (minus the suit jacket) with an interesting scarf detail connected to the waistcoat in a contrasting colour. The waistcoat has a deep V-neck to show off his large collared cotton white shirt with white tuxedo button covers. He wears black tuxedo trousers, black socks, and black shoes. His gelled coiffed hair gives him an air of confidence and a sense of casual elegance.

Sitting next to him on the sofa as he tells the story of his early days advertising chicken curry is the lovely, talented Emily Mortimer, who is also in the upcoming Mary Poppins sequel. Mortimer is known for Match Point, Lars and the Real Girl, and Transsiberian. Mortimer wears a two-piece single-breasted velvet suit in black, which are highly fashionable and on-trend this year. The straight tuxedo-like lapels are in contrasting silk. She wears pointed stilettos with an ankle strap.

John Cena, Hailey Stanfeld, and Jamie Oliver

Former WWE superstar wrestler John Cena appeared on the show to promote his film Bumblebee.Besides wrestling and his WrestleMania television specials, he is known for his comic timing in films such as Trainwreck and Daddy’s Home and Daddy’s Home Two with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.

For the Graham Norton show, Cena wore a very traditional three-piece suit. Further, he sported a slick-backed hairstyle which made him look very different from his usual shaved head look. His suit is a traditional woollen grey check/tartan/plaid pattern with bold lines. He has notched lapels and a single breasted jacket. His trousers and waistcoat match and his waistcoat has small button details all the way up. He wore a white shirt as a bold contrast against the grey and a burgundy tie.

Next to him on the sofa is young Oscar nominee (for True Grit which she filmed at the age of fourteen) Hailee Steinfeld who wore a broad shouldered 1980s-style bold and bright blue belted suit dress. Her jacket has dramatic pointed lapels and she wore the look with pushed up sleeves and a chignon updo as she listens to Chef Jamie Oliver tell stories about his Christmas cracker antics.

Jamie Oliver chose to wear a traditional black two-piece suit with pointed lapels on his suit jacket, a plain white cotton button up shirt, a black tie with a subtle spotted pattern, and a slicked back hairstyle. Jamie discussed his grandmothers and cooking.

Steve Carell and Michael B Jordan

Comedian Steve Carell is known for his roles in The Office, The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine, and Anchor Man. On the show, he wore a two piece grey suit which contrasted well with his grey hair and beard. He kept the suit more casual with a black thin knitted jumper underneath. He also wore black socks and shiny black shoes to complete the look.

Another actor on the sofa, Michael B Jordan, also took the grey suit with notched lapel look like Carell, but he wore a brown and black striped t-shirt underneath and opted for brown boots to complete his look. He came on the show to promote his new film Creed II. He is known for his roles in Black Panther, Fantastic Four, Creed, and the TV show Friday Night Lights.
